The advent of immunotherapy over the last decades has drastically altered oncologic therapies for patients. Through our understanding of the normal immunological pathways, and the ways for which cancer cells have evolved to evade these pathways, therapies have been developed that allow a person's now immune system to target and destroy these cells.[1]
